Bio of Bonnie L. Canty, Esq, CFC

Damon is a resident of Amherst, New York, which is the largest township in upstate New York. In May, 1987, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. During his senior year, he was awarded an internship with Roger Robach, Deputy Majority Leader of the New York State Assembly, after a highly competitive selection process. Damon also received the distinction of being recognized with an Outstanding Excellence Award in State Politics while attending SUNY at Buffalo. Damon continued his studies at the SUNY at Buffalo School of Law, where he served as a Student Bar Association Director and as a member of the editorial board of the law school newspaper, The Opinion. While at SUNY at Buffalo School of Law, he founded the Jewish Law Society and served as a driving force in the resurrection of the Entertainment Law Society.
Damon became a member of the New York Bar in 1991. He previously served as Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Amherst, N.Y., where he defended the town in environmental and land use cases and as Town Prosecutor, where he prosecuted civil traffic offenses in Amherst Town Court.
